Selfishness and greed
Last week Jeff Bezos set a new direction for the Washington Post opinion section:
We are going to be writing every day in support and defense of two pillars: personal liberties and free markets. We’ll cover other topics too of course, but viewpoints opposing those pillars will be left to be published by others.
The terms “personal liberties” and “free markets” are just euphemisms for Bezos’ true values: “selfishness” and “greed.”
I canceled my subscription to the Washington Post several months ago (when Bezos spiked the editorial board’s endorsement of Kamala Harris) so I can’t cancel it now, but apparently hundreds of thousands of subscribers are cancelling in response to this change.
