2025 Endorsement

The billionaire owners of the Washington Post and the Los Angeles Times are both too afraid of Donald Trump to allow their respective editorial boards follow through with endorsements of Vice President Kamala Harris. Their lack of moral courage is pretty spectacular.

I am not afraid of Donald Trump, and, of course, he does not concern himself with my opinion, so while my endorsement of VP Harris is not really an act of courage, it does reflect my hope for the future of the nation. I seek a candidate for president who shares my values. I will vote for a person who values justice for all, shows empathy, exhibits courage, is honest, charitable, wise, intelligent, and loving. I see all those qualities in Kamala Harris, and none in Trump. Not only does Trump not exhibit any of these qualities, he is the poster child of human flaws — he is narcissistic, dishonest, hateful, greedy, spiteful, vindictive, and an abuser of women. (That neither Jeff Bezos, owner of the Washington Post, nor Patrick Soon-Shiong owner of the LA Times could see this distinction calls into question their values.)

It’s disheartening to see that there are still millions of Americans who support Donald Trump. I will never understand these people. But clearly, Bezos and Soon-Shiong are censoring their editorial boards as a way of giving cover to the millions of people who are voting for this hateful, dishonest man. Shame on them.

I fully and enthusiastically endorse Vice President Kamala Harris in this election for the 47th president of the United States. Please join me in voting for what is good and right.
