Old Ashland
We were having brunch at Brickroom the other day and noticed this old sign painted on the side of the Odd Fellows Lodge (now home to the Black Sheep pub). It’s barely possible to make out the name on the sign, but if you look closely, you can see that it points to the “Plaza Cafe.” That cafe used to exist on the ground floor in the space that now appears to be occupied by the Green Leaf restaurant. In this photo of the Ashland plaza from the 1950s you can see the sign in its somewhat original condition.
